Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja
A Vedic shanti puja for people whose Kundali has Kaal Sarp Dosh — all seven planets placed between Rahu and Ketu — done at Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, the most recognised place in India for this ritual.

A birth in one of the six Gandmool nakshatras — Ashwini, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyeshtha, Mool and Revati — or in another inauspicious nakshatra is traditionally followed by a shanti puja, so the child, the parents and the family are protected from its effects.

The Durga Saptashati — 700 verses of the Devi Mahatmya in thirteen chapters — is recited by pandits as Chandi Paath, with a Chandi havan at the end, to seek the Goddess's protection, the removal of fear and enemies, and victory in difficult times.
One full paath takes about 3–4 hours; Navchandi (nine paaths) over several days
